Padma Shri sought for dairy chairman

Visakhapatnam: Rajya Sabha MP GVL Narasimha Rao, in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requested the latter to confer Padma Shri award posthumously on the late Adari Tulasi Rao, chairman of Visakha dairy who died on January 4. In a letter to PM Modi, the MP said that Tulasi Rao helped Visakha Dairy become a successful farmers’ organisation. “As the chairman of Visakha Dairy for nearly three decades, Rao was instrumental in protecting the character of the sairy as a milk producers’ organisation,” Narasimha Rao said in the letter.tnn
