TTD special officer reviews annual Brahmotsavam arrangements
TIRUPATI: With less than two months left for the celebrated annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD)
Speaking to reporters after the first review on Monday, Dharma Reddy said the nine-day festival will commence with the conduct of the celestial ‘dwajarohanam’ fete on September 30.
“Upholding the customary practice, chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy will present a set of silk robes on behalf of the state government to Lord Venkateswara on the first day of the annual Brahmotsavams on September 30,” added the special officer.

All departments of the TTD, including sanitation, vigilance, health, annaprasadam etc have begun their preparations for the annual festival. A trial run of the crucial Garuda seva will be held on September 14.
Dharma Reddy said, “TTD vigilance and police will make the best of security arrangements as well. Besides, 3,500 srivari sevaks and 1,000 scouts and guides will also be roped in to render the best of services to the visiting devotees during the Brahmotsavams.”
Meanwhile, a procession was held on the eve of the Garuda ‘panchami’ festival at Tirumala on Monday. AV Dharma Reddy, CVSO Gopinath Jatti, senior officials and devotees took part in the Garuda vahanam procession.
