New CJI offers prayers to Lord Venkateswara

arrived on his maiden visit to the temple city to offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara on Saturday.

Arvind Bobde, who arrived at Sri Padmavathi guest house, along with Andhra Pradesh high court chief justice Jithendra Kumar were accorded a warm welcome by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams officials led by chairman YV Subba Reddy and executive officer Anil Kumar Singhal.

Dressed in traditional wear, the new CJI briefly took part in the Sahasra Deepalankara seva and later visited the main temple complex accompanied by officials of TTD. After being led into the sanctum sanctorum, Arvind Bobde offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara.

Later at the Ranganayakula mandapam, TTD officials led by the chairman offered Teertha prasadams and a photo of Lord Venkateswara to the CJI and high court chief justice.

Arvind Bobde also offered prayed at various other sub-shrines, including Sri Bhu-Varaha Swamy Temple, and was briefed on various development work being executed by the TTD.
