Vijayawada: Bojja Chetan Reddy from Tadepalli of
Krishna district, scored a perfect 100 in the JEE Mains 1 exam held for the year 2019-20. He is the only student from
Andhra Pradesh to have obtained 350 out of 360 marks in the exam.
Chetan who is focusing on the JEE Advance aspires to pursue BTech from IIT Bombay. “I study for around 12 to 13 hours a day and my favourite subject is physics.
I hope to be among the top 10 rankers in the JEE Advance,” he said.
Chetan has been studying in Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions since Class VI. Now, he is pursuing final year Intermediate at Gayatri Nagar branch. His parents say that the college has encouraged their ward to pursue his interests.
Chetan’s father B Ramesh Reddy is head of the electronics department at Lakireddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering in Mylavaram of Krishna district. His mother Jaya Sudha is a housewife. The proud father said, “Chetan has always been a smart kid and achieved many accolades in various competitive exams since his childhood.”
“I have never put any pressure on him for studies; rather I give priority to his imbibing human values. He is a well-behaved boy and it makes me happy. Chetan wants to become an entrepreneur and job provider and I hope he would make us proud too in the future,” added Ramesh Reddy.
Chetan’s elder sister, Monisha, was also an all-India topper in NEET 2017 exam. “Chetan can discuss his studies with elder sister and this is added advantage for him,” said Ramesh Reddy.
