Anantapur police have launched “AI Prajavani,” an AI-powered voice complaint system to simplify public grievance filing
Tirupati: In a push for tech-driven governance, Anantapur police have launched “AI Prajavani,” an AI-powered voice complaint system to simplify public grievance filing. The system was inaugurated by SP P Jagadeesh along with trainee IPS officer Ashwin Manideep at the district police office on Wednesday.Designed to bridge gaps between police and citizens, the platform allows visitors to verbally register complaints, which are instantly converted into written petitions using speech-to-text technology. Complainants receive a printout, while a digital copy is sent to the SP for review.Officials said the system is particularly useful for illiterate and semi-literate citizens, eliminating the need for third-party petition writers and reducing delays.Currently, the system is being used during weekly PGRS grievance meetings held on Mondays. Police plan to expand it to all stations in the district. The software was developed by local startup INCUXAI, led by K Yashwanth, Dileep Kumar, Shashi Kumar, and Ashish. The SP said the initiative could serve as a model for AI-based governance.
