According to defence lawyer Anil Kumar Singh, the ADJ (FTC) on Tuesday granted bail to Nasruddin, Naseem, Mohd Tajammul and Jiyaul Haq on submission of surety of Rs 25,000 each.

He said that in its order, the court made it clear that the accused have been charged with taking part in protest and demonstration, which was organised without seeking prior permission but their role in the incident is not clear.

“Under these circumstances, any conclusion can be arrived at only after trial,” he said. “The ADJ stated that without commenting on the merits of available facts, the court considers the bail plea as acceptable,” he added.
