Gorakhpur-born IAS officer bags 4th national award for administrative excellence
Gorakhpur: Bringing laurels to eastern Uttar Pradesh, Gorakhpur-born IAS officer Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal has received a national award for the fourth time, marking another milestone in his distinguished administrative career.
Currently serving as the district magistrate and collector of Sepahijala district in Tripura, Jaiswal, a native of Chauri Chaura in Gorakhpur, was awarded first prize in the Best District Panchayat category at the National Panchayat Awards 2025. The award was presented by Union panchayati raj minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, popularly known as Lalan Singh, at a ceremony in New Delhi on June 3. Sepahijala district also received an incentive grant of Rs 5 crore for its outstanding performance.
Jaiswal's achievement highlights how dedication and perseverance can take individuals from small towns to the highest levels of public service.
