Trichy police to auction nine condemned vehicles

Trichy: Trichy city police will conduct a public auction of nine condemned and scrap vehicles, including jeeps, vans and heavy vehicles.

According to a press release, the vehicles include seven that were prematurely condemned after service in the police department and two retired under normal condemnation procedures. The fleet includes a Tata Sumo, MM540 Jeep, Swaraj Mazda, Eicher Vajra, Tata Varun, Tempo Traveller mortuary van and other police utility vehicles.

Public can inspect the vehicles at the city armed reserve police campus from June 11 to June 15 between 10am and 5pm.

Interested bidders must register on the day of the auction between 8am and 10am by producing their Aadhaar card and paying a refundable caution deposit of Rs 5,000. Successful bidders can take possession of the vehicles after remitting the bid amount and applicable GST.
