Padmarajan Award
for
best film.
While the director would receive a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and a citation, the script writer
Syam Pushkaran would receive Rs 10,000 and a citation. The awards instituted by Padmarajan Trust were announced by chairman
Gandhimathi Balan
on Monday.
The award would be presented on May 23 at PWD Resthouse at 6.45pm, followed by the screening of the film. In the short story category, G R Indu Gopan won the award for his short story Kollappatty Daya. The award comprises a purse of Rs 10,000 and a citation.
