Shimla: Opposition Congress disrupted the proceedings of Himachal Pradesh legislative assembly for around 20 minutes on Monday, accusing chief minister Jai Ram

Thakur

of using unparliamentary language against Kinnaur MLA Jagat

Singh Negi

. They raised slogans against the CM before staging a walkout. Ruling BJP and opposition Congress had locked horns in the assembly on Saturday during discussion on budget. Negi’s remarks had led to heated arguments and the speaker had expunged the words used by the MLA.
After question hour, Negi raised the matter through point of order, saying Thakur had used unparliamentary words against him on Saturday and should be removed from the record. Speaker

Vipin Parmar

said that after seeing the record, unparliamentary words will be removed.
On the Congress walkout, Thakur said such behaviour was against the dignity of the chair and the House. tnn
