Tribal dance promotes voting awareness and welcomes poll personal in Ranchi

Ranchi: Tribal community gathered in Morabadi Ground, Ranchi on Tuesday and welcomed poll personnel with traditional dance performances. The event also aimed to raise awareness about the importance of voting, especially in rural areas.
The tribal community extended their greetings to the polling parties preparing for election duties, applied tilak (a symbol of blessings) on their forehead and performed traditional rituals.
As polling parties prepared to depart from Morabadi Football Stadium, they were seen receiving the traditional "lota-paani," a gesture of good wishes and blessings from the dispatch centre. This symbolic act marked the beginning of journey to the respective polling booths across five constituencies of Ranchi, Hatia, Kanke, Mandar, and Khijri.
Rajendra Gope, the booth level officer (BLO) of Ward 31, stated, "The polling personnel, security jawans, and election officials for the Ranchi, Hatia, Kanke, Mandar, and Khijri constituencies were all sent from Morabadi Ground. We truly appreciated the warm greetings we received. Additionally, we were provided with all the essential materials needed for the polling booth during the election. The event not only highlighted the importance of voting but also showcased the unity and cultural richness of Jharkhand's tribal community."
