Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) will support Mamata Banerjee-led
Trinamool Congress in the West Bengal assembly election later this month, party leaders here said on Friday. Chief minister Hemant Soren, who is also the party president, will campaign in favour for several TMC candidates in the coming days along with his wife Kalpana, the party said.
Notably, West Bengal assembly election will be held on April 23 and April 29.
“The campaign for West Bengal Assembly election will be conducted in close coordination between TMC and the JMM.
Both the parties have historically worked together to raise voices on behalf of the common people. JMM and TMC have consistently raised their voices against the attack on Constitutional framework of the electoral process by the BJP and its leaders,” Vijay Hansdak, JMM MP from Rajmahal, said.
JMM spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya confirmed that Soren, his wife Kalpana and other party leaders will campaign for the TMC.
