Raipur: Three key amendment Bills were presented in the
Chhattisgarh Assembly on Tuesday, the third day of the Winter Session, with detailed discussion on all three slated for Wednesday.
Labour Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan moved a proposal to reintroduce the Chhattisgarh Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) (Amendment) Bill, 2025. After the House granted permission, the Bill was formally reintroduced. Higher Education Minister Tankram Verma also presented the Chhattisgarh Private Universities (Establishment and Operation) (Amendment) Bill, 2025, seeking the Assembly's approval for its reintroduction.
Later, Commerce and Industry Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan moved the proposal to reintroduce the Chhattisgarh Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) (Second) Bill, 2025, which was also reintroduced with the permission of the House. According to the Assembly Secretariat, discussion on all three Bills will be taken up on Wednesday, when members are expected to debate the proposed amendments and their implications.
