Raipur: In a sensational case, a college student used AI tools for collecting and morphing personal photos of fellow girls studying at a premier govt college in Raipur. The incident came to light in the Chhattisgarh capital, leading to his suspension from the institute and arrest. Sharing details of the arrest, Raipur inspector general of police Amresh Mishra said an FIR under IT Act was filed in connection with the incident before the youth was taken into custody. Police officials told TOI that a second-year student at a premier govt college was accused of saving personal pictures of girl students from their social media handles which he would later morph into obscene videos and photos. Police confirmed that he edited pictures of at least 36 girls using AI's image generation editing tools, adding that the morphed images were found on his laptop, hard disk, pen drives and mobile phone. The institute suspended the accused second-year student.
