: In order to strengthen the medical infra to battle

Covid

In past one month, as many as 598 staff had been trained in Raipur’s government-run Ambedkar hospital. A total of 13 sessions were held under the guidance of the critical care specialist Dr OP Sundarani.

The training was imparted to strengthen the district hospitals and dedicated Covid hospitals in the state, said health official.

A total of 598 were trained for working in

Intensive Care Units

(ICUs) and fields like Oxygen Constructor Machine, ventilator management and oxygen therapy. The trainees included 270 health officers and 328 staff nurses.

State’s National Health Mission Director Dr Priyanka Shukla said that under the guidance of these trained

doctors

and staff nurses, ICU are being successfully operated in Covid hospitals in many districts. At the time of onset of corona infection in the state, many districts did not have ICU facility.

Since March -2020, ICU facility has been started in those districts also with the help of trained medical staff by organizing special training sessions continuously. Covid-19 patients are getting its benefits and serious patients are also being treated.
