CG health labs earn top national tag
Raipur: The Integrated Public Health Labs (IPHLs) at district hospital, Pandri, Raipur and district hospital, Balodabazar, have achieved a national-level quality certificate under the National Quality Assurance Programme (NQAS) of the Government of India.The Pandri IPHL is the country's first IPHL to receive this certification, while the Balodabazar IPHL is the country's second such certified lab, according to the health department officials. This achievement validates the expansion of quality healthcare and the strengthening of scientific, standardised lab facilities across Chhattisgarh.The State has evaluated and certified a total of 832 health institutions based on national standards between Jan 2024 and Nov 2025. These include health centres in remote and inaccessible areas such as Chintagufa in Dantewada district. This marks the first time in the country that a state has achieved the evaluation and certification of such a large and organised chain of labs.
