PMC employee murdered over illicit affair, 2 arrested
Pune: A 38-year-old man from Ambegaon was allegedly murdered with a sharp weapon over suspicion of an illicit relationship in the Ambegaon area of Katraj on Sunday night. A murder case has been registered against two brothers at the Ambegaon police station."We have identified the deceased person as Deepak Kshirsagar (38), a resident of Ambegaon. A case has been registered against two men and later we arrested them. The elder brother is 22-year-old while the younger is 20-year-old", said senior inspector Sharad Zine of Ambegaon Pathar police.Zine said, "Kshirsagar was working with the water supply department of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and was married. Our investigations revealed that he was having an illicit relationship with a woman, who is a relative of the two arrested brothers. The two brothers opposed this relationship and had threatened Kshirsagar in the past asking him to stay away from the woman"."On Sunday night, after having dinner, Kshirsagar came out of his home and was standing there. At this moment, the two arrived at the spot on their two-wheeler and attacked him with a sharp weapon", he said.
