PUNE: Rotary Club District 3131, Pune, and Tridal, Pune, have organised a discussion forum on 'Crimes against women and reforms' at Bal Shikshan Mandir Seminar Hall, Kothrud, at 5 pm on Tuesday. Prominent speakers with diverse experience will participate in the discussion.
Programme convenor Vaishali Bhagwat said in a press release that the speakers include lawyer Ujjwal Nikam (reforms in criminal justice system), former police chief Jayant Umranikar (police reforms), academician Jaya Sagde of Indian Law Society (law reforms), Anand Deshpande, chairman and managing director, Persistent Systems Limited (corporate responsibility), filmmaker Sumitra Bhave (role of cinema) and Girish Gune (role of Rotary in social change).

Actor Girish Kulkarni, social activist Mukta Manohar and student representatives from city colleges will participate in the panel discussion that will follow, the press release said. Filmmaker Sunil Sukhtankar will anchor the discussion.
Bhagwat said a set of recommendations based on the discussion and including viewers' contributions will be presented to the state /central government.
