PUDUCHERRY: The Joint electricity regulatory commission for Goa and Union territories has approved an average hike of 4.69% for 2023-24 for Puducherry.
The tariff for 'life line/ one house one bulb services was hiked from 1.25 to 1.45 for the first 50 units and for domestic, cottage industries, poultry farms, horticulture and pisciculture connections consuming less than 100 units from 1.9 to 2.25, for connections consuming between 101 and 200 units from 2.9 to 3.25, connections consuming between 201 and 300 units from 5 to 5.4, connections consuming more than 300 units from 6.45 to 6.80.
Tariff for low tension commercial connections consuming less than 100 units is up from 5.7 to 6, f between 101 and 250 units from 6.75 to 7.05 and for more than 250 units from 7.5 to 7.8. For high tension commercial connection, it was hiked from 5.45 to 5.6 per unit.tnn
