Stepmom killer in 15-day judicial custody

PATNA: The court of the chief judicial magistrate (CJM) on Thursday forwarded Raviraj Agrawal, who had stabbed his stepmother to death on Wednesday, to 15-day judicial custody.
Raviraj had surrendered before the Kotwali police on Wednesday afternoon after he stabbed his stepmother, Premlata Agrawal, to death in the kitchen of their flat in Saket Plaza located on Jamal Road.After murdering his mother, he reached the TOI office and offered to surrender. Policemen on duty outside the newspaper's office took him into custody.
Raviraj is the youngest among three brothers and his father D K Agrawal is an LIC agent. He had alleged that he murdered his stepmother as she used to torture him and his wife Vinita Agrawal.
