Police seek medical report of domestic help

PATNA: Police on Thursday sought the medical report of the domestic help of minister Ramai Ram from Gardanibagh hospital here.
Feroz, the domestic help, was allegedly beaten up by Mantu Kumar, grandson of state transport minister Ramai Ram, on Tuesday and was badly injured.
Patna DSP (secretariat) Shibli Nomani said, "Both the minister and Mantu Kumar said Feroz never worked as their employee.He used to stay in a nearby slum but never worked as domestic help in their house. They also informed the police that sometimes back the minister had written a letter to the Patna district magistrate and asked him to remove the slum from the area. Hence as an act of revenge, Feroz has implicated Mantu in a false case so that the slum is not demolished."
It may be mentioned that an FIR of attempt to murder was lodged against Mantu with the Secretariat police station on Wednesday. Feroz accused Mantu of thrashing him on Tuesday.
