1/10

Defied anti-incumbency

Nitish Kumar overcame years of anti-incumbency by presenting himself as a steady, dependable administrator. His promise of continuity and solid leadership helped reduce voter fatigue and rebuilt confidence across key regions.

2/10

Smart alliance play

His timely realignment with the BJP proved crucial, combining JD(U)’s regional strength with the BJP’s organisational network. This expanded support across caste lines and reassured voters looking for a united, stable political front.

3/10

Age no barrier

At 74, Nitish Kumar disproved doubts about his age by running an energetic, focused campaign. His extensive public outreach convinced voters that he remained fully capable of delivering another term of effective leadership.

4/10

Focused on women voters

Targeted schemes for women, from education support to self-help groups, strengthened his appeal among female voters. His record on safety and welfare created a solid gender-based support block that boosted his overall tally.

5/10

Development pitch worked

His emphasis on better roads, electricity, welfare schemes and law-and-order found wide acceptance. The message of smoother daily governance resonated strongly with rural and semi-urban voters looking for consistent improvement.

6/10

Handled fragmented opposition

A divided Mahagathbandhan and unclear messaging made the opposition less effective. Voters seeking clarity and strong leadership shifted toward the NDA, helping Nitish maintain an advantage throughout the campaign.

7/10

Leveraged BJP machinery

The BJP’s strong booth setup and national campaign support enhanced Nitish’s prospects. Their coordinated voter mobilisation and messaging added organisational muscle that complemented his credibility and experience.

8/10

Caste balancing strategy

His outreach to EBCs, Kurmis, Mahadalits and non-Yadav OBCs helped build a wide electoral coalition. By offering representation and targeted support, he secured backing from multiple social groups across the state.

9/10

Administrative image

Known as ‘Sushasan Babu,’ Nitish benefited from a long-standing reputation for disciplined governance. Despite his political switches, voters continued to view him as a reliable choice for law-and-order and administrative stability.

10/10

Projected future stability

Despite criticism over political flip-flops, Nitish convinced voters that he remained the safest option for continuity. His promise of stable governance and experience appealed to those prioritising predictability over experimentation.

Had it not been the booth management ( By RSS selfless worker) this would not have been possiblr which BJP and JDU both know in parliamentary election the over wise J P Nadda said ( Probably at the behest of some highly ambitious BJP leader/leaders ) taht BJP does not need RSS and they have covered ample ground , the RSS left them to fend off for themselves and they lost many seats , so as on date it is RSS who has organization at ground level which BJP and JDU no very well , they are silent workers but you can see the effect, in short dont cross sword with RSS.
