Dance, songs mark events at different city schools

PATNA: Students of many schools were in a festive mood on the eve of Christmas, as Santa Claus distributed sweets among them and melodious carols filled the air. At Tender Hearts School, children came dressed up as Santa Claus and were briefed about Jesus, Mother Mary and Joseph. A cultural programme was organized at B D Public School and students presented theme-based dance on 'Maa (mother)' and 'Save the girl child'.Students of Kidzee, Sadhnapuri, took out a rally to spread the message of happiness. Christmas was also celebrated with much gusto at Delhi Model High School and Shemrock Nirmala Kids.
Seth MR Jaipuria: The first annual programme of Seth M R Jaipuria School was celebrated on its campus. The programme's theme was 'Cultures of India', in which students showcased their talent through dance, songs and play. Parents watched the folk dances of different states on one stage.
INS Public School: INS Public School held various colourful programmes during its annual programme on Thursday. It was inaugurated by Dr Amulya Kumar Singh. The programme started with Saraswati Vandana and at the end Santa Claus distributed sweets among all.
Children's Heaven High School: The annual function of Children's Heaven High School was held at Rabindra Bhavan. Students, through their programme 'Sandesh', spread awareness on issues like environment, save the girl child, Swachch Bharat and fight against terrorism. State Commission for Women, chairman Anjum Ara inaugurated the event.
West Point Public School: A two-day science exhibition was organized at West Point Public School, in which students presented models based on planetarium, medicinal plants, water indicator, terrace farming, volcano, circulatory system and urban and rural development. The exhibition was inaugurated by chief guest Sanjeev Chaurasia, MLA.
