City athlete selected for all-India meet

NAVI MUMBAI: City lad Deepu Devrajan (18), ensured his place for the upcoming All India Inter-University Athletics Meet by winning silver medal in 800-m race and gold in 4x100-m relay race recently. Devrajan won the medals at the West Zone Inter-University Athletics Championship, Ashwamedh, which was held at Nanded.
Earlier in the intra-university meet, Devrajan bagged gold in 800-m sprint and also won bronze in 1,500-m race and 4x100-m team relay.“It is good to get a chance to compete in All India inter-university meet,” said an elated Devrajan.
