Panchavati Express, other trains cancelled on Saturday
Nashik: The CSMT-Manmad Panchvati Express (12109), and the Manmad-CSMT Panchvati Express (12110) along with CSMT-Dhule Express (11011), the Dhule-CSMT Express (11012) will remain cancelled on June 6, even as several other trains will be either short-terminated, delayed or diverted because of power block between Asangaon and Thansit stations on Central Railway route between Nashik and Mumbai.
Central Railway’s Mumbai division will operate a special traffic and power block between Asangaon and Thansit stations from 2pm on June 6 to 3am on June 7 for the commissioning of a new electronic interlocking system and the removal of the old panel at Atgaon station.
This 13-hour infrastructure project will temporarily disrupt train operations along the Mumbai-Bhusaval route, leading to the cancellation of several key trains and the short-termination or diversion of others.
Additionally, the Hazur Sahib Nanded-CSMT Express (17611), leaving Nanded on June 5, will be short-terminated at Manmad and remain cancelled between Manmad and Mumbai. In the return direction on June 6, the CSMT-Hazur Sahib Nanded Express (17612) will originate from Manmad instead of Mumbai.
The Hingoli Deccan-CSMT Jan Shatabdi Express (12072) on June 6 will be short-terminated at Nashik Road, while the CSMT-Hingoli Jan Shatabdi Express (12071) will originate from Nashik Road instead of CSMT.
The block has also forced the rescheduling of eleven down-direction trains, delaying departures from Mumbai by two to four hours. As many as eleven trains have been delayed.
To maintain network connectivity, several trains on June 6 several trains have been diverted via the Kalyan-Karjat-Pune-Manmad route.
Central Railway has announced that alternative travel arrangements will be provided for passengers bound for Mumbai from the short-terminated stops at Nashik Road and Manmad. Special refund counters are being set up at affected stations for commuters wishing to cancel their tickets, and dedicated help desks will be operational to guide passengers through the temporary changes.
