Nagpur: Two employees of WCL’s Sillewada sub-area and their wives were convicted in cases of disproportionate asset cases after the special court held them guilty for amassing wealth beyond their official incomes through legal sources.
Ajaz Hussain Siddiqui and his wife Satjiya Begum were convicted after assets worth around ₹39 lakh were found in excess to their official source of income.
Siddiqui was sentenced to six years of imprisonment and imposed a fine of around ₹23 lakh. His wife was sentenced to four years of imprisonment.
Another WCL employee Irshad Hussain Siddiqui and his wife Nasim Begum were sentenced to five years of imprisonment and fine of around ₹14 lakh.

It’s learnt that Swapnil Kallurwar, whose Kalmeshwar-based distributing company promoted the fake protein powder, was behind supplying the product in and around Nagpur.
