Teacher poisons self to death, daughter dies later

Nagpur: A 34-year-old teacher, Chetna Bhakte, consumed poison to end life at her Buti Bori residence on Sunday. Shortly after Chetna’s death, her 11-year-old daughter Harsikha claimed to be feeling uneasy. Harsikha was declared dead at a hospital.Chetna, who stayed away from her husband, left behind a four-page suicide note mentioning many issues, including harassment and allegations at the school where she worked.Chetna was staying with her daughter at father's place. “It is likely Chetna consumed the poison (insecticide) in the night. Harshika started feeling uneasy in the morning. We have no clue whether the daughter too had consumed the poison or the mother had given it to her too ,” said a cop from Buti Bori police station. tnn
