NAGPUR: The Nagpur Environmental Services Limited (NESL) board of directors will finally meet on Tuesday after a gap of five months despite several problems affecting water works.
Mayor Anil Sole, who is the chairman of NESL, has convened the meeting with 19 proposals on the agenda.
Two proposals are related to proper publicity and awareness among citizens about the 24X7 water supply project.

In the first proposal, the NESL plans to spend Rs4.11 crore in three years for garnering public support in implementing the 24X7 project. For this, the NESL is likely to appoint Shell Advertising Agency. In the second proposal, it plans to spend Rs58.33 lakh in three years for media management. Goldmine Advertising Agency is likely to be appointed for the purpose.
Other two proposals are related to appointment of agencies for restoration of trenches dug up for laying 24X7 water supply pipelines and other projects related to water supply. A proposal is related to take note of set-up installed to monitor water supply to Hudkeshwar and Narsala, which were included in the city limits a few months ago.
The board had last met on June 6 even though the delay in implementing 24X7 water supply project threatened to cost funding under the JNNURM.
