Girl dies, mom hurt after tipper hits two-wheeler

Nagpur: A 20-year-old girl died on the spot, while her mother was seriously injured when a tipper hit the two-wheeler on which they were going to a market to buy vegetables. The accident took place at busy Tukdoji Putla Square on Wednesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Ashlesha Sunil Tembhere (a resident of Chandramani Nagar). Her mother Varsha was admitted to a nearby government hospital.

Police said at around 6:30pm, Ashlesha and her mother left on a moped to go to Budhwar Bazar in Sakkardara area to purchase vegetables. “Ashlesha was driving the moped. While she was negotiating a turn near Tukdoji Putla Square to go toward the market, an oncoming tipper hit the two-wheeler,” said the police. TNN
