I appealed to UN members that while deciding a case under extradition laws, the country from which extradition has been requested should give due weightage to the domestic laws of the country that has made the request (India).” Nikam said that in absence of this, fugitives will take undue advantage of loopholes and seek shelter in such countries. The aim of the convention was to develope anti-terrorism strategies between countries.
