Club admin booked in girl drowning case

KALYAN: Two days after a six-year-old girl drowned in the swimming pool of a building in Dombivli on Friday, a case of 'causing death by negligence' has been registered against the club administration at Manpada police station. The girl, Tanya Gupta, drowned in the pool at the clubhouse of Casa Bella Apartment of Palava Township on Friday. The case was registered on the basis of a complaint lodged by the girl's parents who alleged that no lifeguard was deployed at the pool. Police inspector Sureshkumar Raut said the criminal offence is registered against unidentified members of the clubhouse administration.
