Suspect booked for brandishing sword in Insta reel

Mangaluru: An Instagram user was booked for posting a reel featuring himself holding a sword and an axe to music. Mangaluru South police head constable Manjunatha, while reviewing social media accounts on Thursday, discovered that a person named Arman Hasan, with the Instagram account __arman_khan._, posted a reel on his account featuring himself brandishing a sword and an axe to music. It appears that the suspect intended to instil fear among the public by posting prohibited weapons on social media. Appropriate legal action will be taken against the Instagram user, police said.Two-wheeler rider dies in accidentA two-wheeler rider died after metal sheets from a small commercial vehicle (SCV) fell on the victim near Panambur Junction on Thursday. The deceased was Prashanth Kumar,53, a lab examiner. Prashanth Kumar was hit by a long metal sheet that slid forward from an SCV driven by SY Abdul Nawaz, causing him to fall onto the road. As a result, Prashanth sustained injuries to his right shoulder and arm, and became unconscious. He was taken to Panambur Hospital for treatment, where doctors examined him and declared him dead. Mangaluru Traffic North police registered a case.Man injured in leopard attackA man was injured after a leopard attacked him at Andimar in Kanyadi village of Nada gram panchayat on Friday. The leopard attacked Manjappa Naik,62, who was standing in his courtyard at home. Naik sustained injuries to his leg and was initially admitted to the Belthangady Govt Hospital. He was later shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for further treatment.
