MLA Kamath asked for white paper on spl grants

Mangaluru: Former MLC Ivan D’Souza claimed that all the development works in the city were carried out during the tenure of former MLA JR Lobo between 2013 and 2018, and that the current BJP MLA had failed to get any special grants for development works. “Our mantra is development, peace and harmony as well as law and order,’’ he said.
D’Souza urged Mangaluru City South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath to issue a white paper on the special grants released by the government, for development works in the city. “Apart from general funds released for development works, the MLA should give details on the special grants released by the government for development works in the city,” he demanded.

He told reporters on Wednesday, that the history of the 2013 assembly election results will be repeated during this election in coastal Karnataka. “People are dejected over the price hike of essential commodities, maladministration and increase in corruption. BJP has failed completely in administration, and has no moral right to seek votes from the public,” he said.
Meanwhile, Congress candidate and former MLA JR Lobo condemned the move of the Mangaluru City Corporation, of spraying water on street vendors near Town Hall.
