MKU distance education: Last date for admissions extended

MADURAI: On the directions of the University Grants Commission (UGC) - Distance Education Bureau (DEB), Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) has announced that the last date for admissions to distance education courses has been extended to September 30.

The university is offering various UG, PG, certificate, diploma and PG diploma programmes through the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE). Admission to distance education programmes for the academic year 2023 would be open till September 30, according to a press release issued by DDE director P Muthupandi.

Interested candidates can visit the official MKU DDE website -- https://mkuniversity.ac.in/dde/ -- for details.

Admissions can be done online on https://mkuniversityadmission.samarth.edu.in/ by registering with a valid email ID. Students can also call 0452 - 2459413/2535973 and 7540080932 for more details.

The UGC - DEB had earlier given approval for 40 open and distance learning (ODL) programmes, including UG and PG programmes, at MKU for the academic year 2023-2024 (for the academic session beginning July-August 2023). The programmes at the DDE are to be conducted on a par with the regular mode, according to the statement.
