The police said that the deceased has been identified as Sukhchain Singh of Achal village in the district who allegedly committed suicide on Monday by consuming poisonous substance. The case has been registered on the complaint of Balkar Singh of Achal village who claimed that Sukhchain was assaulted and insulted by his wife and her paramour on Sunday while he had gone to convince her to come back.
The police said that the accused has been identified as Karnail Kaur, her mother Amarjit Kaur and Karnail’s paramour Des Raj.

Now after several years, Des Raj started demanding his money back despite he was already in an alleged relationship with Sukhchain’s wife. A few months back, Karnail’s mother married her off to Des Raj without getting a divorce from Sukhchain.”
