Fire breaks out at city restaurant
Ludhiana: A fire broke out at a restaurant in Feroze Gandhi Market on Monday evening. No loss of life or valuables has been reported as the fire was doused on time by fire department teams. However, panic gripped commuters and shopkeepers in the busy Feroze Gandhi market. Fire station officer Maninder Singh said, “The incident was reported at around 5.45pm at The Table restaurant in Feroze Gandhi market. The source of the fire was inside a chimney of the kitchen. The restaurant is a high-srise building and the exhaust vent of chimney is located on the terrace and our team was able to douse the fire on time.” tnn
