Lucknow: Lucknow Connection Worldwide initiated a long-term rehabilitation and support programme for families affected in the devastating Vikas Nagar fire accident that displaced hundreds of residents earlier this year.LCWW founder Sunil Misra and volunteer teams visited the affected locality on Apr 21, May 9 and June 4 to assess situation and decide on support measures. They also contributed generously towards the rehabilitation initiative.Initial survey team included Vinod Srivastava, Anil Shukla (Jr.), Vibha Shukla and Pradeep Kumar Shukla. Subsequent interaction and assessment visits were carried out by Neeta Tekwani, Urmil Grover, Mousumi Mallick, Priyanka Vajpai, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, Rajeev Saxena and other volunteers.Led by Sanjay Srivastava, LCWW distributed educational materials, stationery kits, sanitary pads and essential items among women and children of the affected community. A bicycle was gifted to a girl student.More than 10 children were selected for support in their school fees, textbooks, notebooks and stationery.
