PMS Association to elect new office bearers on June 22
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Provincial Medical Services Association (PMS) will elect new office-bearers on June 22 to represent members’ issues before higher authorities.
The election committee secretary said on Tuesday that election officers and returning officers will be appointed in all 75 districts to conduct the polls in an open and transparent manner. Elections will be held for the central executive committee, with 10 elected representatives to be chosen, including the president, vice president, general secretary and finance secretary, along with other posts. The association has around 14,000 to 15,000 members and represents allopathic doctors and medical officers serving as permanent employees in govt-run hospitals and health centres across Uttar Pradesh.
Voting will take place from 9 am to 6 pm on June 22 at district headquarters. Polling arrangements will be made in advance at each location to facilitate participation by eligible members.
