In all, 65 meritorious students were awarded medals on Saturday.
“We were apprehensive about convocation due to the pandemic but were overjoyed when it was announced last month that the event will be held like previous years,” said Vaishali Narula, BTech (civil engineering), who bagged a gold medal. “Getting medals in offline mode was like a dream come true in pandemic times. I kept my mask on while on the stage but pulled it down to pose for clickin pictures on the campus to capture the moment which I will always cherish,” said Anupam, a BTech (computer science) student, who has won a gold medal.
MTech student Abhishek Kaushal, another gold medalist, said: “It’s not just a convocation but a grand party for all of us. I thank AKTU for this grand celebration which is a reward for all the efforts we have put in for success.” Shubhi Khare, who won a gold medal in BTech (agriculture engineering), said she did not rely on books alone, but went to agricultural fields for practical experience like nature and origin of soil, classification and compositions.

Parth Shree, a gold medalist in BTech (mechanical engineering), and Unnati Batra, a gold medal winner in BPharma, said practising sample papers in all years of graduation helped them secure good marks.
