LUCKNOW: Managing director of a private hospital Manish Yadav, who had shot himself late on Saturday night, succumbed to injuries at the KGMU Trauma Centre on Sunday evening.
The bullet had pierced through his skull, said the police. ADCP, CN Sinha said that Manish Yadav (32) of Barawan Kala locality in Thakurganj police station co-owned a private hospital which is also located in Thakurganj.
"On Saturday night, he reportedly had some heated arguments with somebody in his family at his house. After the verbal spat, he went straight into his room and a few minutes later he informed his friend Ravindra Gautam that he is going to end his life," said Sinha.
Guatam later informed the deceased's family who said they rushed into Manish' room and found him lying in a pool of blood.
Sinha said a police team reached the house of the deceased and recovered the licenced pistol of Manish from the room.
"He shot himself from point blank range and the bullet pierced through his skull. An entry and an exit wounds were detected in the head," Sinha said.
It surfaced during investigation that Manish had shifted to Lucknow seven years back from his parental house in Kakori. His relatives said Manish's younger brother was killed by dacoits in 2018 in Kakori. "His wife had gone to her parents' house as she was unwell," they said.
