LUCKNOW: Taking note of the representation sent by Lucknow University Teachers’ Association (LUTA) to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government has sought a report from the university on the creation of four posts of deans.
In a letter (dated July 8) to LU registrar, joint secretary, UP government, Sarvesh Kumar Singh said, “I have been directed to ask you to send a report on the issue raised by LUTA with regard to creation of four posts of deans.”
Last month, LU’s executive council had approved an amendment in statutes that allowed inclusion of four new posts of deans — in charge of research, academics, recruitment, and admissions — in Chapter 11A.
