CM to honour part-time instructors, distribute revised honorarium
Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will launch a statewide programme on Sunday to honour part-time instructors and distribute the revised honorarium at a state-level function at Lok Bhavan.
The honorarium of part time instructors was increased from Rs 9,000 to Rs 17,000 per month by the state cabinet last month. The hike has been made effective from April 1, 2026.
Under the programme, symbolic cheque distribution programmes will be organised across the state.
Additional chief secretary of the basic and secondary education department, Parth Sarathi Sen Sharma, has issued instructions to all district magistrates saying that grand events should also be ensured simultaneously in all districts.
The programme will witness participation from the ministers in charges, MPs, MLAs, other public representatives, district magistrates, chief development officers and district-level officials.
District magistrates have been instructed to ensure wide publicity of the programme. Directions have also been issued to ensure participation of a large number of teachers, part-time instructors and common citizens in the district-level programmes.
After the conclusion of the programme, public representatives in the districts will distribute symbolic cheques of the increased honorarium to the part-time instructors. Cultural programmes and addresses by public representatives will also be organised.
