CM launches Ambedkar Marathon T-shirt

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday launched the T-shirt of the Dr Ambedkar Marathon, being organised by the BJP's Mahanagar unit on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. The event will be flagged off by BJP's state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh. Media in-charge Praveen Garg said the marathon, which carries a prize money of Rs 1 lakh, will start at 6 am from KD Singh ‘Babu' Stadium and culminate at the 1090 intersection. Heartless XI win Sarojininagar Sports League Heartless XI defeated Sainik Super Kings by 66 runs to win the Sarojininagar Sports League Cricket Championship at the CMS Kanpur Road ground on Wednesday. Heartless XI bagged Rs 50,000 cash prize, while the runners-up received Rs 25,000. Akshay Gupta was named Man of the Match, and Satendra Pratap Singh took home the Man of the Series title, both receiving Rs 5,000 each. The tournament, spearheaded by MLA Rajeshwar Singh, concluded after an impressive 123-day run, drawing over 50,000 spectators and featuring more than 2,400 players across 166 teams. Maharashtra lift trophy Needa Zabi's all-round performance helped Maharashtra win the 6th T10 National Cricket Championship at KD Singh ‘Babu' Stadium on Wednesday. Batting first, Maharashtra piled up 98 runs, with Fauziya and Needa scoring 47 and 24 runs respectively. In reply, Delhi could manage only 56 runs for the loss of six wickets. Needa also took two wickets and was adjudged Player of the Tournament. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak gave away the prizes. UP women enter semis UP's players put up a brilliant performance to enter the semi-finals of the All-India Basketball Championship (women's category), defeating Tamil Nadu 63–49 at the PAC ground on Wednesday. UP also entered the quarter-finals in the men's category, drubbing CRPF 62–43. In the women's handball category, Haryana defeated Maharashtra 31–14, Gujarat beat Jharkhand 17–3, Tamil Nadu outplayed Chhattisgarh 32–8, and Himachal Pradesh edged past Telangana 14–11.
