MALAPPURAM: In a new twist to the case related to the death of K K Aneesh, teacher of Munniyur Higher Secondary School, an RTI document shows that the DDE office of Malappuram did not issue dismissal notice to Aneesh and police suspect that the document was forged somewhere else. It was the dismissal notice issued by deputy director of education (DDE) Malappuram to Aneesh that allegedly led to his death.
Aneesh was suspended from service in March, 2013, after police registered a case against him, based on the complaint lodged by a peon of the school that he was assaulted by Aneesh. Later, on May 31, 2014, school manager served him the dismissal order issued by DDE, P K Gopi. The dismissal order was issued by DDE, on May 30, on the previous day of his retirement.
After four months of dismissal, Aneesh was found dead in a lodge room at Malampuzha in Palakkad in September. Following this, teachers' organizations came up with strong allegations that the conspiracy by school management under local Muslim league leader to remove Aneesh from school led to his death.
The RTI document, seized by the investigation team by DSP of Palakkad, Mohammed Kasim, shows that the DDE office did not issue such a dismissal notice and there is no evidence or fair copy of the notice with the despatch section of DDE office. Police suspect that the fake dismissal notice with seal and sign of DDE was prepared outside the office.
Recently police found that the assault case against Aneesh which led to the dismissal was fabricated with a purpose to remove Aneesh from school and school manager was involved in the conspiracy against Aneesh.
In the backdrop of fresh evidence regarding the forgery of the dismissal notice the special investigation office will conduct detailed probe on the role of school manager and DDE in preparing the fake document.
The DSP said that the team has already found that the dismissal order was not issued from office and the source of the fake document would be unearthed soon.
Executive committee member of KSTA, P K Satheeshan said, the RTI document collected by the association shows that DDE and school manager are behind the forgery. "According to the statement of school manager, he collected notice from DDE office on May 31. But the Tapal details of the office says that a dismissal notice was drafted on July 7", he said.
He said the association will file a fresh petition demanding the arrest of former DDE and the school manager in court, in the backdrop of the fresh evidence.
