KOZHIKODE: The
Anti-Gail Pipeline Campaigners
will intensify protest against the work of the
Gas pipeline
in densely populated areas. The action committee, here, on Saturday, decided to pitch tents at all panchayats through which the
GAIL Pipeline passes
, before November 25.
The action committee leaders declared their decision to go ahead with the strike after the state-level meeting of the anti-gas pipeline campaigners. The meeting also decided to follow
Gandhian mode of protest
at all localities in seven districts.
"All pipeline victims in Kozhikode and Malappuram districts will rally in the protest,” said
C P Cheriya Muhammed
, leader of the action committee. Our main demand is to change the alignment of the pipeline from densely populated areas, he added.
