Calcutta high court refuses to interfere in Kandi civic issue
Kolkata: Calcutta high court on Thursday refused to be drawn into the legalities of the no-confidence motion moved by the Trinamool in the Kandi municipality. The HC directed the petitioner, municipality chairperson and Kandi MLA Apurba Sarkar, to air his grievances to the appellate authority, here the SDO.
With five Congress councillors in the Adhir Chowdhury den defecting to the Trinamool, the no-confidence motion against Sarkar will have a bearing on the state politics.
