91 B’deshi fishers repatriated after 5 mths in custody
Ninety-one Bangladeshi fishermen were repatriated on Saturday along with four fishing trawlers that had been detained for allegedly crossing into Indian territorial waters in the Bay of Bengal, reports Monotosh Chakraborty. The fishermen were apprehended between Dec and Feb and held in judicial custody. The group departed from Fraserganj fishing harbour in South 24 Parganas on Saturday under Coast Guard supervision.
