150+ B’deshis now at Malda holding centre

Malda: Over 150 Bangladeshi illegal immigrants are stationed at a holding centre in Malda's English Bazaar. Sources said they were picked up from North 24 Parganas and brought to Malda under police vigilance. The holding centre for illegal immigrants in Malda was the first of its kind in the state. Set up on May 24, it initially housed nine persons. Six more were brought in later. All of them were handed over to BSF who sent them to Bangladesh.
