Uddhav unveils new slogan & promises for Maharashtra’s future
Kolhapur: Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, speaking at an election rally in Kolhapur's Radhanagari assembly constituency, countered Mahayuti's "Batenge Toh Katenge" slogan with a new slogan — "Amhi Tutu Denar Nahi, Amhi Lutu Denar Nahi" that translates to "We Will Not Let Them Break Us, We Will Not Let Them Loot Us."Thackeray also said if Maha Vikas Aghadi formed govt again, it would ensure the prices of five essential food items, including sugar, pulses and grain, are kept under check for five years. He said MVA would make education for boys free, provide affordable housing for Marathi people from Maharashtra in Mumbai, set up all-woman police stations to curb crime against women and fill up the vacant posts for women in the police. He had already announced plans to set up a grand temple of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in every district of Maharashtra.Thackeray was addressing a rally for Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate K P Patil, who is contesting against sitting Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Abitkar. "They have come up with a slogan: ‘Batenge to Katenge.' I don't know who they are going to cut. Now I give a new slogan: ‘Amhi Tutu Denar Nahi, Amhi Lutu Denar Nahi.' We will never let Maharashtra be cut into pieces and never let Maharashtra be looted. This is our Maharashtra," he said.Thackeray also said if possible, he would build a temple of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Surat. "Let them oppose. We are going to build the grand temple in every district at any cost," said Thackeray.
