Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will lead his part's campaign through a public meeting here, while chief minister Devendra Fadnavis will campaign for the BJP.
"Our young leader Aditya Thackeray will conduct roadshows here. All the dates will be finalized by the end of this week," MLA Rajesh Kshirsagar said.
Besides Fadnavis, BJP has planned rallies of ministers Vinod Tawde, Sudhir Manguntiwar, Pankaja Munde and MLA Pasha Patil.
The city unit also planning to bring Sanjay Patil, MLA from Belgaum and a firebrand speaker.
"Once the filing of nomination ends, we will start arranging public meetings of prominent leaders, BJP's district chief Mahesh Jadhav said.
On behalf of Congress, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Ashok Chavan, opposition leader Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan and others are likely to participate in the campaign.
NCP has mentioned names of former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, party's state chief Sunil Tatkare, MP Supriya Sule and others but local MP Dhananjay Mahadik's name is not in the list.
